What We Have Already Done

• Recent, repeated field operations in Kano. Our Director of Survey Operations served as Principal Investigator on the Gates Foundation's Group Antenatal Care evaluation covering Kano State (2023–2025), and as Technical Advisor for Operations and Mobilisation on the Gates-funded Zero-Dose Study in Kano State (2025). This is not historical familiarity; it is current working knowledge of Kano's LGA administrative structures, community entry protocols, traditional and religious gatekeeping, and the practical realities of enumeration in the state.

• Hausa at principal level. Our Director of Survey Operations is fluent in Hausa and has trained and supervised Hausa-language field teams throughout his career. Field cadre for this assignment will be recruited for Hausa first-language competence as a screening criterion, not a preference.

• North-West and North-East delivery history. Bauchi, Sokoto, Kebbi and Kaduna States across the MCSP, IHP and gANC assignments; our Finance, Grants and Compliance Lead has directed multi-sector development and emergency programme operations across Northern Nigeria for sixteen years.

• Community entry credibility. Population-based work in rural Kano LGAs is gated by ward heads, district heads and religious leadership long before it is gated by logistics. Our principals have made that entry repeatedly and know what it requires.
